While
we cater to ham radio operators, everyone who stays with us says a vacation at TI5KD is
comfortable and relaxing. Numerous world records have been set from the TI5KD ham
station in both HF and VHF contests. Bring your own radios or use mine. Either
way, you will have a great time "running" the big pileups calling you after just
a quick "CQ". We are located in the quiet rural area of Alajuela near the
capital city of San Jose and close to the international airport. San Jose is a short
non-stop flight from many major U.S. cities. You will be working DX from TI5KD in
not too many hours after you leave home. Come just to work DX or a contest but I
hope you stay to enjoy our beautiful country -- Costa Rica! I will be happy to
recommend tours and sites to see while you are here. Rates are very reasonable and
vary by season and length of stay. Please contact me for more information. I
